Course for the academic session 2025 – 2027. Eligible candidates interested in pursuing a teaching career at the elementary level must apply online for the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2025, which is the gateway for admission into this course.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Residency: Only permanent residents of Assam are eligible.
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent from recognized boards with at least 50% aggregate marks (excluding extra/optional subjects).
- Relaxation: 5% relaxation for SC/ST/ST(H) candidates.
- Age Limit: Between 18 and 34 years as of 1st July 2025.
- Age Relaxation: 2 years for SC, ST(P), and ST(H) candidates.
- Reservation: Seat reservations will follow government norms for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PWD categories.

- Download your admit card from the official website starting 5th July 2025 by entering your Application Number and Date of Birth.
- Exam center will be allotted based on the district selected during application and mentioned in the admit card.

- General Knowledge (15 marks): Current affairs, history of Assam, sports, art & culture, geography, Indian constitution, inventions, world organizations, education commissions.
- Reasoning (10 marks): Logical & analytical reasoning, patterns.
Section II – 65 Marks
- General Mathematics (15 marks): Numbers, fractions, percentages, money, geometry, measurement, data handling, square & square root, ratio & proportion, simple algebra.
- General Science & Environmental Science (15 marks): Environment, pollution, biodiversity, physical & chemical changes, force, energy, cells, microorganisms, temperature, acids & bases, light, weather.
- Social Science (20 marks): Natural & human resources, Indian freedom movement, constitution, democracy, Assam history, government structure, transport, agriculture, industrial development.
- Language (Assamese/Bangla/Bodo) (15 marks): Language skills, grammar, phrases, idioms, comprehension, verb forms.
